Craft at 1:1, then rendered at scale

02 Independent Project

Mechanical keyboard keycaps and cases I produce using materials like concrete, stone dust and epoxy, on top of MSLA 3D printing.

Problem

The mechanical keyboard community has cycled around the same metal/plastic, the same finishes for years. After collecting expensive boards for a long time, I hit the question 'what I actually want isn't out there — why am I not making it?'

Approach

Form exploration happened in CAD, focused on grain, surface texture and tactile feel. MSLA resin choice, print orientation, surface prep and epoxy colour mixing were treated as one system.

Outcomes

A material language that can be consistently reproduced at desktop scale; a workflow draft that could turn a hand-made object into a "sellable, repeatable quality" product line.
